I WAS NOT ABLE TO OPEN THE REAR LIFT GATE, THE WINDOW DID WORK FINE. THIS WOULD HAPPEN EVERY NOW AND THEN NON PREDICTABLE.. THE DEALER REPLACED THE LATCH AND WAS AMAZED THE ELECTRIC KEY FOB DID NOT WORK OF THE MANUAL LIFT GATE. THERE IS NO EMERGENCY OVERRIDE!!!! IF SOME WAS IN THE 3RD ROAD SEAT, AND SOMETHING HAPPENED THEY COULD NOT GET OUT. AUGUST 1, 2015 I WENT TO THE VET WITH MY DOG IN HER KENNEL IN THE BACK. OUTSIDE AIR TEMP WAS 93 DEGREES. I COULD NOT OPEN THE BACK HATCH TO GET MY DOG OUT. I HAD TO LOWER ALL THE MIDDLE SEATS, OPEN HER KENNEL, AND "CONVINCE " HER TO COME OUT AND WALK AROUND . I HAD TO LIFT HER UP AND PUT HER ON THE GROUND. BEING HANDICAPPED THIS WAS NOT FUN.. OF COURSE AFTER THE VETS VISIT, THE DARN THING WORKED IT IS DANGERSOUS!!!

2015 FORD EXPEDITION EL LIMITED NOTED TO HAVE WHISTLING/WHINING NOISE WITH ACCELERATION. EVALUATED BY A FORD DEALER. FOUND TO HAVE DEFECTIVE SEAL ON REAR AXLE WITH LOSS OF LUBRICATING FLUID AND DAMAGE TO THE DIFFERENTIAL. THIS WAS NEAR MISS; NO ACCIDENT/INJURY OCCURRED. GIVEN THAT THIS PART FAILED ON A BRAND NEW VEHICLE (LESS THAN ONE MONTH OLD) AND DEALER IS UNABLE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE FOR 3-6 WEEKS DUE TO UNAVAILABILITY OF REPLACEMENT PARTS, I AM CONCERNED THAT FORD KNOWS THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS PART BUT HAS CHOSEN NOT TO SHARE THAT INFORMATION.

I WAS SITTING IN A WAL-MART PARKING LOT WITHOUT THE CAR RUNNING. THE TEMPERATURE WAS APPROX 35-40 DEGREES WITH LIGHT RAIN/SNOW. WHILE SITTING THERE I HEARD A REALLY LOUD POP. AFTER LOOKING OUTSIDE AND AROUND THE VEHICLE TO SEE WHAT WAS OVERHEAD (NOTHING), I NOTICED THAT THE MOONROOF HAD SHATTER AND MADE THE BACK PART OF THE GLASS BUBBLE UPWARD TOWARD THE SKY WITH A SMALL HOLE AND THE ENTIRE GLASS SHATTERED. OF COURSE I HAD TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME (APPROX 22 MILES) AND THEN TO THE DEALER (ANOTHER 25 MILES). AT THIS POINT MOST OF THE GLASS FELL INTO THE MOONROOF SLIDE COVER AND THUS DID NOT SHOW THE BUBBLE IN THE GLASS. FORD WILL NOT COVER STATING IT WAS BROKE BY FORCE. WE HAVE OWNED THE CAR LESS THAN TWO MONTHS (PURCHASED ON 8/22/15 - DAY BROKE 10/18/15) AND THE VEHICLE HAS ONLY 3,700 MILES ON IT. ALL PICTURES TAKEN WERE DONE BY THE DEALER.

STARTED TO NOTICE VIOLENT SHAKING IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED AT INTERSTATE SPEEDS. THE 2015 EXPEDITION 4WD HAS 19,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. AT VERY LOW SPEEDS THERE IS THE SAME SHAKING OF THE FRONT BRAKES---BUT MUCH LESS NOTICEABLE APPARENTLY DUE TO THE LOW SPEED. TRYING TO SCHEDULE WARRANTY INSPECTION AT LOCAL FORD DEALER.

BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING THEN NO BRAKES! UNLESS YOU PUSH THE PEDAL REAL HARD THEN IT MAKES A GRINDING SOUND! WHEN YOU STOP VEHICLE STOP THE ENGINE AND LET IT SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN START IT, THE BRAKE LIGHT STAYS OFF AND EVERYTHING WORKS FINE AGAIN! THIS HAPPENED TWICE! THE FIRST TIME WAS MARCH 2018 WE THEN TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY CHARGED TO INSTALL NEW BOOSTER AND SOME OTHER DEVICE. TODAY JAN 4TH 2019 THE SAME THING HAPPENED!

HAD TO FIGHT TO GET CELLA FORD TO COMPLY WITH RECALL ON FRONT BLOWER FAN. FIRST HAD TO FIGHT TO GET APPOINTMENT AND THEM NOT CANCEL DUE TO PARTS NOT AVAILABLE WHEN COULD HAVE FIXED WITH AFTERMARKET PART. WHEN PART IS REPLACED, BAD HUM AND DASH/STEERING WHEEL VIBRATING AND UNIT IS SURGING. CELLA ADMITS TO FAULTY REPLACEMENT PART AND REPLACES AGAIN TO HAVE THE SAME THING CONTINUE TO HAPPEN AND STATE THAT THE SURGING IS NOT THEIR FAULT. SO, RECALL NOT COMPLETE, SAFETY HAZARD STILL ALIVE IN THIS VEHICLE DUE TO NO AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WORKING AND UNABLE TO DEFOG WINDSHIELD. THE BACKUP CAMERA BECOMES BLURRY AND SILL DISTORTED. WHY ARE ONLY NEW FORD EXPEDITIONS RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM? THIS PROBLEM STARTED JUST OVER A YEAR AFTER PURCHASE AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THIS FIXED. I TRY NOT TO RELY ON THIS AMD PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY FEATURES, AND IT DOES NOT PROPERLY WORK. SOMETIMES IT DOES AND SOMETIMES IT IS SO BLURRY AND DISTORTED I CAN NOT TELL IF SOMETHING OR SOMEONE IS BEHIND MY VEHICLE. IT IS WHEN I BACK UP THAT THE PROBLEM OCCURS.

I'm being told me vehicle is not part of the current recall in the 2015 Expedition that was issued in April 2025, yet my vehicle (a 2015 Expedition) is experiencing the problems detailed in the recall. Why isn't my vehicle part of this recall, shouldn't the recall be expanded to all 2015 Expeditions experiencing problems with faulty back-up cameras?

Dealer has diagnosed Throttle Body Failure which is well documented with these vehicles and known the the NHTSA even though there is no recall and no extended warranty for this particular vehicle (though there is for others). This a major safety issue as the vehicle looses all throttle response and puts its occupants at risk for a collision.

8/17/2021

While driving through a busy intersection, the vehicle seemed as if it had shifted into neutral rendering the accelerator powerless. I was able to coast into a parking lot and noticed the wrench warning light being on. The engine was also shaking very noticeably. I turned off the engine and read up on the warning light to learn it indicated a powertrain failure. Called a mechanic who stated it could be the throttle body and/or throttle body actuator. It was suggested the engine should be turned off (already done) and restarted. I did as instructed and the engine began running smoothly again. Wrench warning light was no longer on. Without having control of the powertrain, this situation could have caused an accident as I had no ability to control the vehicle's power and could not navigate through the intersection in a safe manner. I feel like my safety and others was put at risk. I have taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who is also an Auto Mechanic Instructor at the local high school. I await his diagnostic result. There were no earlier symptoms or wrench warning light previous to this incident.

Blower in front of Expedition worked intermittently - recall issued for Blower Motor to be replaced because it could "cause damage to surrounding components". Called on 2/20/23 to schedule recall work to be done. 2/22/23 We started to smell a burning smell right before recall was performed (Scheduled for 2/28/23) so called the dealer and asked if we needed to bring it right in or if it would be ok to wait til 2/28. We opted to wait but I was nervous to turn on the heat so tried not to use the car during the snow storms. If I smelled the burning I immediately turned off the heater because didn't want a fire to start(which also poses a safety risk as well as it was blizzards that week and it made it so the defroster wouldn't work). When they did the recall they only replaced the Blower Motor. They called at 2:47 on 2/28 to tell us the issue was resolved and when we picked up the automobile the blower still wasn't working. They took it back and determined the Blower Motor Resistor and Pigtail wires had melted but it wasn't covered under the recall even though the burning/melting wires and burning smell could result in a fire which puts my family at risk.
