After disengaging adaptive cruise control, the car electrical system shutdown and the vehicle began losing speed until it came to a complete stop after which the gear shifter became lock and would not unlock until a jump was provided to the 12v battery.

When the car was started, the center console screen froze. During that time, the backup camera did not display when the car is in reverse. It has happened several times. It's a safety issue when the backup camera does not work.

I have 2023 Ford EV and my son also have 2022 Ford EV, too. We are living in the same house. All Ford mobile chargers with 240V do not work properly. It is supposed to charge at 7KWh but it drops 3Khw after few minutes charge. I switched to new Ford mobile charge, but it is faulty, too. Ford says its overheating issue but it happens during the winter season, too. I am concerning it might have faulty electric design and cause the fire at home. I checked the Ford Mach-e Forum, many of them have same problems.

After backing out of the driveway, our Mach-e started accelerating without putting my foot on the accelerator. Car literally was just getting faster and faster without me doing anything. When I did press the accelerator after the stop sign to the entrance to our neighborhood, nothing happened and the car just rolled forward. Took my foot off the right pedal and it started accelerating again. Got out to the main road, had to pull over, and rode the brake back home. In short, the car accelerates without pressing the accelerator.

Vehicle suddenly lost power with a warning on the dashboard (service vehicle soon). The component ended up being a high voltage battery junction box (HVBJB) which was replaced by the dealer under warranty. This is a known issue reported on widely on forums such as macheforum.com
8/22/2023
The HVBJB subassembly in ALL Ford Mach-e vehicles has known defects with 'under-designed' main contactors that are known to fail under normal charging and driving conditions as outlined in current open Ford recall notice for my vehicle 22s41. Unfortunately, the internal damage to contactors is not visible externally, and warning notices on display only after damage has occurred, and can result in sudden loss of propulsion power at highway speed, loss of power steering, and power brakes... and failure of other 12v systems due to failure to charge the 12v battery properly after contactors are damaged. Less catastrophic results can include failure to start; which can 'strand' driver's and passengers in remote areas, bad weather conditions, as well as cause loss of use for weeks due to delays in replacement parts and local Dealerships needing equipment and training to effect removal/replacement of faulty unit with a new HVBJB having re-designed 'beefier' components.â â My complaint is that Ford's recall notice 22s41 is a software-only attempt to prevent future damage, and does not require removal of the part(s) which are KNOWN TO FAIL to be replaced with the re-designed components which are available, and have been used to repair failures under warranty. I have no way of inspecting the original equipment to evaluate current condition; and failure can result in sudden and unexpected loss of power, steering, and braking as well as potentially 'stranding me' in unsafe conditions unable to re-start my vehicle.â Even though I have a MY 2023 Mach-E, it is known that the HVBJB is failing in '23s, and additional failures in earlier MYs that have had the HVBJB replaced with the newer part. â I would like to see NHTSA strengthen the Ford recall to include both improved software AND removal/replacement of the HVBJB sub-assembly with the new 'beefier' parts, even the latest revision of the part is still failing at an unacceptable rate.

The car is accelerating by his own, without having the cruise control on and this happened a couple times, mostly after a full stop on a red light, until you donât make a manual full emergency break it wonât stop. It can cause death if it accelerate it by his own, also couple times the front camera has a fall out and heâs warning the pre collision even no car is in front of you

The vehicle regularly, and at random times, will drop out of the chosen drive setting and go to the default "Engage" mid-level setting. This changes the driving dynamics, such as pedal pressure required to move the car, and the sensitivity of the steering. If the driver was in "Unbridle", for example, the car will immediately lose speed and steering sensitivity, while if the driver was in "Whisper", the car will lurch forward. This has happened at city speeds, highway speeds, and even while at a stop in a line of cars. The stop is especially dangerous, as 1-pedal drivers would expect the car to be fully stopped, but it still lurches forward towards people or other cars. Temperature of the engine and battery does not seem to be a factor, as this happens in all conditions. It appears to be a dangerous software error.

Additionally, the contact stated that the brake pedal floored while depressed, and the vehicle failed to stop immediately. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who informed the contact that the calipers had failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 237.

On Saturday July 15, 2023 my family and I were in the car going grocery shopping. By time I reached the grocery store a warning came up on the screen that stated brake fluid low. When I arrived home I did not have any brakes. The vehicle was towed the dealer where it was purchased. I was told that the brake caliper were faulty and their is only one mechanic that is allowed to work on electric vehicles.

While driving the vehicle came to an abrupt stop in the middle of traffic. The vehicle had to be changed to a tow mode as it was stuck in park. The vehicle had not been driven more than 3days at this point. The vehicle was towed to a nearby dealer who found no issue and gave the vehicle back with errors still in the dash. The vehicle was then brought to a second dealer who found no issues after 5days of inspection. They advised all codes see cleared by the previous dealer. Vehicle then stopped again in the middle of traffic with no warning and was towed again. This was he 3rd attempt at accessing the issue on a 2week old purchase of which I had driven at most 1week. The vehicle abruptly stops while driving, displays a battery icon, a car icon with and exclamation, and a turtle icon. To which it has each time this has happened and the dealer seems to find no issue with this and sends me out to drive in safely again.

While driving the 2023 Ford MachE in 1 Peddle mode Friday 12 July 2024. I had to suddenly brake due to a car cutting of the car in front of me to make an illegal turn. I applied the brakes (HARD) and my car came to a complete stop. Just as I was breathing a sigh of relief, and waiting for the still parked car in front of me to move. On I released my foot of the brake (the car should have held in place). However, warning lights sensors started beeping going crazy as the car lunged forward. It caused me to hit the car in front of me. The lunge was so forceful that for a moment I thought another car had rear-ended me and pushed me into the stopped car in front of me. I did not have time to see all of the alerts flashing on the dash as they were flashing as the car was propelled forward. The other car did not sustain any damage. However my car car did. While waiting on the Police to come make a report I did use the in car engineer feedback and recorded a message notifying Ford that my car had lunged forward. On Monday 15 July I called the Ford BEV team to tell them what happened. Was advised to take it to a dealership to be checked out. The dealership ran diagnostics and updated the car via a technical service bulletin. 24-2187 issued on 07 June 2024. Prior to me taking my car to the dealership I also came to your website and there were no active recalls and no mention of this bulletin. The bulletin address the 1 pedal drive fault. I was not aware of this TSB. I have documented over 50 posts related to this error and fail.

Vehicle will suddenly without warning change driving "mode". This includes while in motion or when vehicle is parked, shut off, and re-started. I had submitted video of this occurring many times to the Ford Service Dealer. Vehicle will disengage from "One-Pedal Driving" mode without warning. This is a serious driving hazard because the normal "brake regen" feature to slow and stop the vehicle is suddenly no longer "engaged". Vehicle will no longer receive safety updates via vehicle OTA (over the air) updates to address these and other vehicle defects. The last OTA was in June 2024 with a regression/repeat update manually applied at the Ford Service Dealer in September 2024. The vehicle is now substantially out of date with respect to safety and other vehicle OTA updates. The Ford Service Dealer cannot repair these problems. They have attempted to address and repair without success, even claiming in Sept 2024 this vehicle was "road-tested" by their Technician, however the mileage on the odometer had not changed since the vehicle was left at the Ford Service Dealer. Lastly, regarding the active recall on the vehicle, 5 Ford Service Dealers in the area stated the NHTSA Recall is "unnecessary" and the manufacturer (Ford) knows the replacement parts are not available. Specifically, I was informed my vehicle would remain "parked" waiting for service for 4-6 weeks before any diagnosis or repairs would be made.

I was driving along the road at 35 mph when the vehicle lost power and refused to accelerate or keep speed. The cluster flashed a warning indicating "Stop Safely Now", so I pulled over and came to a stop, and I shifted to P. Thereafter, the vehicle shut off and would not start, continuing to indicate to "Service Vehicle Now", as well as additional new errors, including "Service Powertrain", "Full Accessory Power", "Collision Assist Unavailable", and at least 8 other errors that would not go away. Two red lights were indicated on the cluster - one of them looks like a car with a "!" through it, and the other is a wrench. The vehicle is charged every night to 95% using a Level 2 CCS charger directly to the vehicle's charging port, no adapters. The vehicle had 91% battery remaining when this occurred. About 20 minutes after the incident, while waiting for a tow truck, the vehicle went completely dead and all components were unresponsive. The ignition would not activate, the doors would not open, and the open doors would not properly shut (the electronic catch mechanisms were not catching the door to keep it shut). I could not activate the screen to put it into Emergency Tow mode. The vehicle has 17,999 miles and was purchased brand new in September 2023 with 0 miles.

Ford Motor Company Dear Ford Customer Service Team, I am writing as a highly disappointed owner of a Ford (specify model, e.g., Mustang MachâE), having observed a dramatic unexplained jump of over 10,000 miles on my vehicleâs odometer in just three months. I firmly reject the insinuation that I drove that distanceâI maintain an accurate charging and usage log proving otherwiseâand I demand a refund of my warranty payment plus a prompt and transparent investigation. Key Facts & Concerns 1. Sudden mileage spike (~10,000 miles in 3 months) ⢠I did not charge or drive anywhere near that distance. My charging logs and event logsâcomprehensively detailedâshow a maximum of [X] miles total for that period. ⢠The odometer reading is simply inconsistent with verifiable usage data. 2. Likelihood of system error or tampering ⢠Similar issues have been documented in EVs: ⢠Tesla vehicles are currently under multiple lawsuits alleging artificially inflated odometer mileage, sometimes by as much as 15â117%âaccusations that have triggered a proposed class-action in California and garnered widespread reports and press coverage . ⢠Ford EV owners have also flagged odometer anomaliesâboth underreporting and overreporting, including a Ford Lightning report revealing odometer mismatch in a vehicle health report (). 3. Legal precedent and consumer protection ⢠Odometer manipulationâeven unintentionalâis taken seriously under federal law (Federal Odometer Act), with strict penalties for tampering . ⢠Odometer discrepancies significantly affect warranty eligibility and residual vehicle value. What I Want Ford to Do 1. Full refund of the prorated warranty cost, as it has been voided unfairly by incorrect mileage totals. 2. Comprehensive odometer and software audit of my vehicle. I request a certified statement of findings. 3. Corrected mileage records and warranty reinstatement based on actual usage. 4. Clear, documented communication detailing how this issue

I just bought mach E. [XXX] I was in car line at Macdonalds to get food for my 14 year old son. The speeded itself to full speed. I luckily had both hands on wheel. I turned car to left away from car in front of me. Luckily I was able to put my foot on brakes and able to stop the car but not before killing couple of plants on curb. I manage to stop car just couple of feet away from building. In process I burst my front left tire and had to tow the car to nearest shop to get tire replacement. I complaint to Ford. Made sure they document everything. They haven't paid any attention to my calls and want me to pick car from dealership without getting into why it happened. Before this happened I noticed at least four times the car speeds up when you press cruise control button even without setting the set up button. Ford is not willing to do anything about it and I am scared to drive that car the way it shot at me and itself speeded while I was in car line. During rapid deceleration from ~35mph to <5mph the contents of the frunk (front trunk) shifted and was able to strike the emergency release button within the frunk causing the hood to open while the vehicle was in motion. At the time the button was pressed various alarms showed on the screen to alert the driver to pull over which could not be done safely based on the current road conditions. The design of the emergency release button is deficient in preventing inadvertent opening of the frunk while the vehicle is in motion. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer and they have indicated that all systems are working as intended.

While driving on the highway at speed, the front undercarriage cover of the Ford Mach-E came loose, started vibrating violently, then started dragging on the highway. Thankfully the driver was able to pull over safely. The incident could have caused life-threatening injury to the driver and other vehicles has the part come totally lose, come under a tire, or started hitting the battery system that sits just behind the car. This could have caused the driver to loose control, the part to hit another vehicle, or a fire in the case of the battery system and the violent impact and friction as a result of the vibrating loose part. We took the vehicle to the dealer and they confirmed that there was damage to the undercarriage cover, and also "impact" damage to what is under the undercarriage cover (albeit they assumed the impact damage to be due to user/environment, as you'll see from the pictures, it was likely due to the vibrating loose part itself.) No warnings or indicators came on before the problem. The vehicle is only 3 months old and used exclusively for city driving/commuting. The car has not been any vehicular accidents or even minor collisions.

While reversing, driver is unable to see hazards (such as pedestrians or other cars) in the back clearly. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I am not sure. The dealer verbally confirmed they could reproduce the issue, but has not provided written documentation of this. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The symptoms are visible: frozen center console screen This problem is intermittent, but happens several times per week.

While using ford Blue cruise I have found a major major safety flaw. While using blue cruise hands free driving over a major bridge in the middle of the day the car swerved a very hard left. Iâm writing this message out of frustration, exhaustion, and genuine concern for public safety. Over the past months, Iâve been renting and driving multiple cars from different brands and models â Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, and now a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E and all of them show the same dangerous behavior: sudden phantom braking for no reason, traction control malfunctioning, throwing the car from side to side, unstable handling, especially on highways or during light rain. This is not an isolated case itâs happening across several brands and systems, which makes me question what is really going on. Why are drivers being forced to deal with unreliable technology that clearly isnât ready for real-world conditions? Are these systems being tested using real drivers as data sources to âteachâ self-driving cars how to handle special situations? Because thatâs what it feels like we are being used without consent, forced to correct constant software mistakes that could cost lives. This situation has destroyed my professional and financial stability. I work as a rideshare driver (Uber and Lyft), and passengers have reported me as âunsafeâ because the car suddenly brakes or moves erratically something completely out of my control. Iâve lost access to stable work, fell behind on my car payments, and ended up returning my own vehicle because of all the expenses and stress trying to fix something that was never broken in the first place. And I have to ask: Why did NHTSA approve a regulation that prevents drivers from fully turning off these driver assistance systems? In what world does it make sense for a safety-critical technology to have no emergency off switch? In any other context like electricity we have breakers to stop the system when it becomes unsafe. Cars should be no different. Iâve lost almost everything I worked for because of this. Please, take this seriously. Peopleâs lives, jobs, and mental health are being destroyed by technology that we canât control.

I am locked out of the car despite having keys and phone in hand. When I was in the car it wouldnât start. Screen was black. I got out of the car to try other doors. When I got back to driver door, the car was locked and I tried all normal modes to get in the car. It is NOT the 12 volt battery. I tried to use the manual jump to get the hood to pop open but it didnât work. If I had a baby in the car and it was hot out, this could be a life-threatening disaster.

Approximately 90 seconds after startup, every speaker emitted a deafening sound that can be described as a high-powered air compressor. The sound was debilitating, and in the moment it felt like the car would explode (solely from sound, no visible defects). The vehicle was in motion, and could have caused a wreck under different conditions. The issue continued even after turning off then restarting the car. The issue stopped once disconnecting/reconnecting the battery. There was never an error message or any other warning, other than the sound. The dealership was unable to recreate the issue, resulting in no repair action. The problem has not recurred as of 12 months later; however, I still get nervous when driving the vehicle.

SEAT BELTS

Intermittent issue with the driver seat belt sensor which illuminates the restraints indicator warning light. Message sent in FordPass app says: "The restraints control module has detected a fault with the driver seatbelt buckle sensor circuit" Consultation with the dealership indicated that when the restraints warning light is illuminated the airbags become disabled. However, stopping the vehicle, turning it off, removing and reinserting the seatbelt into the buckle, and starting the vehicle clears the warning light. This is extremely intermittent and replication is difficult.

The Mach-E alert systems does not alert the driver if there's a pedestrian close by. The alert system alerts for vehicles only not pedestrians. I would like to see the car have same alert sensitivity for pedestrians as it does for vehicles. Also, when changing lanes lights on the side mirrors have warnings that a vehicle is close by. Ford should add an audible warning like beeping or ringing sound along with the lighted icons on mirrors.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS

My car displayed a warning that the pre-collision assist was not available. This caused all of the safety features not to work (collision warning; lane departure warning; parking collision warning etc.) The car has been in and out of the dealership since Aug. 6th to repair this but Ford has not corrected the problem. We have not been told what is wrong with the car or any estimation on if or when it will be repaired. I requested the service documents for all of the records of when my car has been in the shop for this issue. I received the document but it has incorrect and missing information which causes me to be concerned that the issue is not being address but instead my car is being held with no efforts of a remedy. My car has not operated correctly for almost 2 months but the only service recorded was a replacement of a coaxial cable which did not fix the car.

LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING

Iâm writing this message out of frustration, exhaustion, and genuine concern for public safety. Over the past months, Iâve been renting and driving multiple cars from different brands and models â Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, and now a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E â and all of them show the same dangerous behavior: â¢sudden phantom braking for no reason, â¢traction control malfunctioning, throwing the car from side to side, â¢unstable handling, especially on highways or during light rain. This is not an isolated case â itâs happening across several brands and systems, which makes me question what is really going on. Why are drivers being forced to deal with unreliable technology that clearly isnât ready for real-world conditions? Are these systems being tested using real drivers as data sources to âteachâ self-driving cars how to handle special situations? Because thatâs what it feels like â we are being used without consent, forced to correct constant software mistakes that could cost lives. This situation has destroyed my professional and financial stability. I work as a rideshare driver (Uber and Lyft), and passengers have reported me as âunsafeâ because the car suddenly brakes or moves erratically â something completely out of my control. In any other context â like electricity â we have breakers to stop the system when it becomes unsafe. Cars should be no different. Iâve lost almost everything I worked for because of this. Please, take this seriously. Peopleâs lives, jobs, and mental health are being destroyed by this technology.
