2019 FORD RANGER PURCHASED, NOTICED SLIGHT PULSATION WHEN STOPPING HIGHWAY OR CITY. CONTINUED TO GET WORSE TO A POINT WHERE I BECAME AFRAID TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE TWICE ON HEAVY BRAKING PULSATION WAS SEVER AND I WAS AFRAID WAS NOT GOING TO STOP. SITUATION WAS WORSE MORE TRUCK WAS DRIVEN. NOTIFIED SERVICE ADVISOR OF ISSUE AND THAT I HAD BEEN REALLY CAREFUL BUT THEN I NOTIFIED HIM AGAIN AND ADVISED I WAS FEARFUL OF DRIVING VEHICLE ESPECIALLY ON WET ROAD. TOOK PICTURE OF LEFT REAR ROTOR THRU WHEEL HOLES AND FOUND BLACK SPOTS IN ROTOR. TOOK TRUCK IN ON MARCH 19TH, SERVICE ADVISOR CALLED AND SAID THE MECHANIC WAS GOING TO HAVE ALL FOUR ROTORS TURNED. I TOLD HIM THAT WAS UNACCEPTABLE, THE ROTORS AND BRAKES NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE SITUATION WAS ESCALATED TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY, TODAY MARCH 26TH THE SERVICE ADVISOR CALLED AND LEFT MESSAGE THEY WERE REPLACING REAR ROTORS. HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO REACH THEM BACK BECAUSE I FEEL THEY NEED TO ALSO REPLACE BRAKE PADS, FOR A PROPER MATING PROCESS. HE NEVER MENTIONED FRONT ROTORS AGIN AS IN PREVIOUS DICUSSION. I ORIVINALLY ADVISED THEM THEY SHOULD REPLACE ALL ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS. THEM TELLONG ME THEY WERE GOING TO TURN ALL ROTORS MAKES ME THINK THAT ALL THE ROTORS ARE WARPED. ALSO REAR SEAT UPPER PORTION WHEN RELEASED TO DOWNWARD POSITION, IS VERY HARD TO RELOCK IN UPPER POSITION, WHICH IF NOT LOCKED TO CAUSE SEATBELTED PASSENGERS ND SEAT ITSELF TO FLY FORWARD IN A FRONTAL CRASH.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 FORD RANGER. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED CONTINUOUSLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RC LACY FORD LINCOLN SUBARU (25 MAPLE AVE, CATSKILL, NY 12414) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COMPUTER SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF THE TAIL BLINKERS AND BRAKE LIGHTS. INITIALLY AFTER VEHICLE STARTUP EVERYTHING FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. AFTER DRIVING FOR SOME TIME, 30-60 MINUTES, THE BLINKERS START BEHAVING LIKE A BULB IS OUT. THIS HAPPENS FOR BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER BLINKERS, NOT NECESSARILY AT THE EXACT SAME TIME BUT GENERALLY BOTH FAIL PRETTY CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. SOMETIMES THE BLINKERS WILL THEN START WORKING AGAIN WHILE STILL DRIVING, SOMETIMES THEY DON'T START WORKING AGAIN UNTIL AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TURNED OFF FOR SOME TIME. INVESTIGATED WITH THE VEHICLE STOPPED BUT STILL RUNNING AFTER THE ISSUE OCCURRED AND FRONT BLINKERS FUNCTION PROPERLY, BOTH REAR BLINKERS BULBS DON'T WORK AT ALL, TAILIGHT BULBS DIMMLY BLINK. BRAKE LIGHTS DIMLY ILLUMINATE WHEN BRAKE IS APPLIED. THIRD BRAKE LIGHT FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. ISSUE HAS RECURRED ALMOST EVERY TIME I HAVE DRIVEN THE VEHICLE LONGER THAN 30 MINUTES IN A STRETCH.

WE BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2019 FORD RANGER FROM EPIC FORD AND AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR OUR FORD APP SAID WE HAD A RECALL. WE ASKED THE SALES PEOPLE ABOUT IT AND THEY SAID WE NEEDED TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY TO GET IT FIXED AND THAT IT WOULD TAKE A FEW MINUTES. WE THEN WERE TOLD THE PART WOULD BE IN THE NEXT DAY AND THAT THEY WOULD CALL US. THEN WE WERE TOLD THE PART WAS ON BACK ORDER AND THAT IT WOULD BE A WEEK. I CALLED SERVICE TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY UPDATE AND WE WERE TOLD THAT THE PART WOULD NOT BE IN FOR UP TO A MONTH AND THAT WE COULD NOT TAKE THE TRUCK TO DRIVE IN THE MEAN TIME BECAUSE IT COULD LIGHT ON FIRE. (AND THIS WAS AFTER THEY LET US LEAVE THE LOT WITH THE VEHICLE AND DROVE IT HOME WITH OUR TWO WEEK OLD INFANT) THE SERVICE TOLD US THEY WOULD KEEP US UPDATED WEEKLY. WE WENT INTO FORD A FEW DAYS LATER TO TALK TO THE GENERAL MANAGER SO WE COULD GET SOME ANSWERS. I WAS LIED TO AND TALKED TO SOMEONE WHO TOLD ME THEY WERE THE MANAGER BUT AFTER MENTIONING LEGALITIES HE ADMITTED TO NOT BEING THE MANAGER. THE GENERAL MANAGER CAME IN AND HE SAID THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO BUT THAT HE COULD PAY OUR FIRST BILL AND GIVE US A LONER AND THAT HE WOULD CONTACT ME FOR UPDATES. HE THEN IGNORED MY CALLS AND EMAILS ABOUT OUR FIRST BILL AND WOULD NOT GIVE ME AN UPDATE. AFTER A MONTH I CALLED SERVICE AND ASKED FOR AN UPDATE, SHE SAID THAT THE GENERAL MANAGER GAVE HER SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS TO NOT CONTACT US AT ALL. WE CONTINUED TO WAIT FOR THE PART AND MORE THAN TWO MONTHS WENT BY AND WE FINALLY GOT THE CALL WE COULD COME GET OUR TRUCK. THEY ILLEGALLY SOLD US A NEW CAR WITH AN ACTIVE RECALL AND LIED TO US THE ENTIRE TIME, AVOIDING THE TRUTH AND DID THE LITTLEST POSSIBLE FOR US TO TRY AND MAKE IT RIGHT.

THE TRUCK HAS ABOUT 400 MILES TOTAL. I HAVE HAD TWO INSTANCES OF UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WHILE BREAKING, ON BOTH OCCASIONS THE ENGINE REVVED AND THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD

8/2/2019

THE TRUCK WILL DISPLAY A WARNING ON THE DASH AS WELL AS MAKE AUDIBLE WARNINGS SAYING THAT A CAMERA IN THE GRILLE IS BLOCKED OR MALFUNCTIONING. ANOTHER WARNING THAT ALSO HAPPENS A LOT IS SOMETHING SAYING THAT A CRASH HAS BEEN DETECTED, IT HAS LOUD CHIMES THAT GO OFF AS WELL AS A FLASHING RED DISPLAY ON DASH. THE PRE COLLISION WARNING ALSO FREQUENTLY ALERTS WITH VISUAL AND AUDIBLE WARNINGS. ALL OF THESE WILL HAPPEN AT ANY RANDOM TIME, AND OF ALL THE COUPLE DOZEN TIMES THESE WARNINGS HAVE HAPPENED THERE HASN'T BEEN A SINGLE TIME THAT THERE WAS ANY TRAFFIC NEARBY, NOR WAS THERE ANYTHING BLOCKING ANY CAMERA OR SENSOR. THE VEHICLE IS BARELY MORE THAN A MONTH OLD AND HAS BEEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP A FEW TIMES TO FIX BODY ALIGNMENT ISSUES AND PROGRAMMING ISSUES WITH THE ECU, PCM AND TCU. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THAT THE PRE COLLISION SYSTEM ONLY WORKS IF YOU ALSO HAVE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, WHICH MY TRUCK DOES NOT. THEY SAID THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX THE SYSTEM TO GET IT TO STOP GIVING FALSE WARNINGS UNLESS THEY ADD THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL MODULE AND OTHER COMPONENTS. HOWEVER, THE DEALERSHIP IS REFUSING TO ADD THE ADDITIONAL PARTS AND ALSO REFUSING TO REPLACE THE VEHICLE WITH ONE THAT DOES. THEY TOLD ME FORD IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE, AND ADMITS THAT A FALSE WARNING MAY ACTIVATE THE BRAKING SYSTEM ON ITS OWN, WHICH CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT, BUT THEY STATED THAT FORD WILL NOT PAY CORRECT THE ISSUE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND FORD NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL FOR THEIR FAULTY, AND DANGEROUS, COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM. THEY NEED TO INSTALL ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL IN VEHICLES WITHOUT IF THAT'S ALL IT WOULD TAKE TO FIX THE ISSUE AND MAKE VEHICLES SAFE TO DRIVE.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

EXTREME FUEL DILUTION IN THE OIL. LIKELY FROM LEAKING HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP. I HAVE ATTACHED THE RESULTS FROM OIL ANALYSIS AT 1860 MILES. THE TEST ONLY INDICATES THAT FUEL DILUTION IS ABOVE 5%, WHICH ITSELF LEADS TO SEVERE OIL DEGRADATION. WHEN I CHANGED THE OIL, I DRAINED 7.5 QUARTS OUT OF AN ENGINE WITH A 6.2 QUART CAPACITY. THIS WOULD INDICATE A 21% FUEL DILUTION, NOT INCLUDING FUEL THAT HAS EVAPORATED FROM THE CRANKCASE AND RETURNED TO THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER VIA THE PCV SYSTEM. IF I ABIDED BY THE MANUAL'S RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE INTERVAL, I HAVE LITTLE DOUBT THE ENGINE WOULD EVENTUALLY CATCH FIRE, BASED ON THE RESULTS OF SEVERAL TESTS COMPARING FUEL DILUTION TO AN OIL'S FLASHPOINT. AFTER CHANGING THE OIL, IT SMELLED FINE FOR THE FIRST 20 MILES OR SO. AFTER THAT, THE OIL BEGAN TO FEEL OF GASOLINE AGAIN. AFTER GOING THROUGH FORD'S SERVICE MANUALS, I HAVE ASCERTAINED THAT THE PROBLEM MUST LIE IN THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP. IT RUNS OFF THE CAMSHAFT, WHERE LEAKING FUEL COULD THEN MAKE IT INTO THE ENGINE AND MIX WITH OIL. THERE WOULD BE NO WARNING OR INDICATION, BESIDES RISING OIL LEVELS ACCOMPANIED BY THE SMELL OF GASOLINE IN THE OIL. IT DOES NOT MAKE ME HAPPY THAT MY DEALER IS NOT TAKING THIS ISSUE SERIOUSLY, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE A FUEL LEAK OF ANY KIND ALWAYS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO LEAD TO A FIRE OR EXPLOSION IN THE HOT ENGINE BAY. I PAID OVER $40K FOR THIS TRUCK, AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CHANGE THE OIL EVERY 500 MILES TO KEEP IT FROM SELF DESTRUCTING. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN THE RESOLUTION OF THIS ISSUE. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY FAMILY IN THIS VEHICLE, AND FORD HAS REPEATEDLY CHOSEN NOT TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. I FIRST DETECTED THE ISSUE ON OCTOBER 20TH, BUT I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT IT HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE THE TRUCK ROLLED OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON AUGUST 30TH OF THIS YEAR.

12/7/2019

CONSISTENT ISSUE WITH FUEL IN OIL. LATEST REPORT FROM THE OIL ANALYSIS HAVE 4.5 PERCENT FUEL IN OIL. DROPPING OIL IGNITION POINT TO 285 DEGREES. ISSUE OCCURS DURING NORMAL VEHICLE USE.

2019 FORD RANGER XLTREAR SEAT BACK LOCKING PROBLEM. FORD HAS ISSUED A TSB ON THE DIFFICULTY OF LOCKING THE REAR SEAT BACK INTO A LOCKED POSITION.. EXTREME CLOSING FORCE MUST BE USED TO SECURELY LOCK THE SEATBACK. IF NOT PROPERLY LOCKED THE SEAT BACK WOULD PROBABLY PITCH FORWARD IN EXTREME BRAKING OR A ACCIDENT. THIS COULD CAYSE INJURY TO REAR SEAT PASSENGERS OR OTHERS IN THE VEHICLE. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE A FULL SIZE ADULT MALE USING ALL POSSIBLE FORCE TO LATCH THE SEATBACK. FORD FORUMS HAVE ALSO EXPRESSED THIS PROBLEM. AS IT IS A LIFESAVING ISSUE THE NTHSA SHOULD IMMEDIATELY FORCE FORD TO DESIGN A PROPER LATCHING MECHANISM BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED AND THEN HAVE IT INSTALLED FOR FREE AS A SAFETY ISSUE. FORD CURRENT SOLUTION IS NOT A PROPER REPAIR. SHAVING THE BUMPER GROMMETS A TINY BIT IS NOT THE SOLUTION..SURELY FORDS OTHER TRUCK VEHICLES DONT HAVE THIS ISSUE. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ASAP BEFORE LIVES ARE LOST. THANK YOU

My vehicle's heater stopped working mid-drive. I heard a loud POP sound and then the air that came out of the vent was room temperature. I pulled over and stopped the vehicle. Waited a minute and restarted it. The temperature did not change. I was driving on Highway 80 over Donner pass in the Sierra mountains. The temperature was very cold and my window began fogging up. I then had to continue my drive by wiping my windshield from the inside with a rag every 15 seconds or so to maintain visibility enough to drive. As the snow was coming down and it was getting dark, I needed to keep going as it would have been too cold to stay in the vehicle and wait out the storm. Now, driving the vehicle is hazardous because I do not have proper defrosting capability. I took it to a dealership and they estimated roughly $4000 in repairs to fix the issue. The car is barely 3 years old.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, he heard a clicking and popping sound when attempting to operate the air conditioning unit. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the blend door actuator and air conditioning flow box failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 27,682.

STEERING

The failed component is a small wheel speed sensor on the rear axle. The sensor is designed in a way where it inserts into the axle and sits close enough to the gears that it can be hit by the gears during bumps/potholes/etc. The issue puts myself and others at risk as when the sensor malfunctions or breaks, it disables multiple safety features of the truck including: Antilock brakes, traction control, power steering, hill assist, and collision avoidance system. Other systems affected include cruise control. The problem has been reproduced with three separate speed sensors, two OEM sensors and one after market. I have had the vehicle inspected by a Ford dealership for the issue. Issues prior to the first replaced sensor was the sensors have issues with cold climate. When snow or ice is on the roadway, the sensors have issues and disable all the above features. Appears the design cannot withstand the cold weather.

11/8/2022

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that they had received a notification on the main control computer screen and the vehicle's notifications app indicated that there was an electrical failure occurring with the steering. The contact then stated at the same time the vehicle began to self-direct causing an excessive amount of force required to steer the vehicle. The brakes became difficult to depress causing an excessive amount of pressure to be applied on the brake pedal in order to get the vehicle to come to a stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000.

The actuator motor is not working. This is a common complaint of the 2019 Ford Ranger and is noted in Ford's SSM 49264. Certainly a service bulletin identifying a need to replace the entire climate control housing assembly is worthy of a recall. This truck has 23, 000 miles on it and is just out of warranty.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made an abnormal cracking sound, and then the heating system became inoperable. The contact stated that he was freezing while driving in 20-degree weather. The contact was concerned that if he became stranded in traffic during a snowstorm, he would freeze. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the heating duct was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and agreed to cover a portion of the cost of the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.

Possible Drivers side seat belt problem on 2019 Ford Ranger. Incident occurred on Monday 12/20/202, ABOUT 9:20 AM. After rounding a corner at low speed I hit a patch of ice and, spinning about 90 degrees, ran head on into a very tall power pole, anchored to its concrete base with many very large bolts. This stopped me. No damage to the post. Air bags did not deploy, but I was thrust forward, hitting the steering wheel hard. I bruised my chest, not visibly, in the sternum area. I think my seat belt must have failed. The force on the belt ripped the plastic paneling covering it from the sidewalls. My truck is now in the body shop being evaluated. I pointed out the seat belt problem and they said they can give me a new one if there is a problem.

12/21/2021

Front Passenger seatbelt locks up every single time it is used. It has been an issue since day one of purchasing the vehicle. (There is a recall for this issue, however my specific VIN is not listed.) This is a major concern of safety.

THEY NEED TO INSTALL ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL IN VEHICLES WITHOUT IF THAT'S ALL IT WOULD TAKE TO FIX THE ISSUE AND MAKE VEHICLES SAFE TO DRIVE.

SOMETIMES TRUCK STAYS IN GEAR AFTER SHIFTING INTO PARK. HAS ROLLED FORWARD AFTER I EXITED THE VEHICLE. LANE KEEP ASSIST HAS MISJUDGED LANE & TURNED THE WHEELS SHARPLY CAUSING UNWANTED LANE CHANGE. PRE COLLISION WARNING OFTEN SOUNDS ALARMS & SHOWS VISUAL WARNINGS WITH NO TRAFFIC NEARBY, THE SYSTEM HAS EMERGENCY BRAKING & I'M AFRAID OF IT APPLYING BRAKES WHEN I'M ON THE INTERSTATE. CRASH DETECTED AUDIBLE & VISUAL WARNINGS OFTEN APPEAR WHEN THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A CRASH. DRIVER'S DOOR MIRROR IS NOT SECURE, VIBRATES/RATTLES WHEN TRUCK IS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. FRONT & REAR DIFFERENTIALS MAKE GRINDING NOISES & FRONT END JUMPS, WHEELS LOCK UP WHEN USING 4X4L. DOES NOT ALWAYS SHIFT INTO 4X4H. VEHICLE HAS OVERHEATED & STALLED WHILE IN TRAFFIC. PEDESTRIAN DETECTION SYSTEM IS NON-FUNCTIONAL. A MAN STEPPED OFF THE SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF MY TRUCK ON MONDAY, JAN 06 2020, I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 15-20 MPH. LUCKILY I SAW HIM IN TIME AND PUT THE BRAKES ON, WHEN I CAME TO A STOP THE MAN WAS A MERE 2" FROM THE FRONT OF MY TRUCK & WE WERE BOTH EXTREMELY SHAKEN. HAD I APPLIED THE BRAKES 1 SECOND LATER THE MAN WOULD BE DEAD. THE PEDESTRIAN DETECTION SYSTEM NEVER ALERTED ME TO THE PEDESTRIAN WITH ANY TYPE OF WARNING, AUDIBLE OR VISUAL. THE SYSTEM NEVER ASSISTED WITH EMERGENCY BRAKING AS A RESULT. THE PARKING & CROSS TRAFFIC SENSORS RARELY WORK CORRECTLY, ALMOST NEVER DETECT CROSS TRAFFIC WHEN PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT. I CAN PULL UP TO A VEHICLE, WITH MY FRONT LICENSE PLATE TOUCHING THE RECEIVER BAR ON THE HITCH OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME BEFORE THE SENSORS DETECT THE VEHICLE. AS A DISABLED VETERAN I'M MORE CAUTIOUS THAN MOST, BUT ALL OF THESE ISSUES, OF WHICH THERE ARE MORE, MAKE THIS TRUCK A SEVERE HAZARD, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT. DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO SERVICE ANYMORE, HAS BEEN IN SHOP 5 TIMES, THEY HAVE WITNESSED SOME ISSUES BUT WON'T ACKNOWLEDGE THEM. UPLOADED LIST OF DEFECTS

This is not the first time, but I will randomly get a collision warning while I am driving my car. The last incident happened on a 2 lane road with no traffic within visible distance in front of me. It was early in the morning with the sun ahead of the vehicle (approx 7am) and the collision warning indicator came on for no reason. This has happened before. Another incident occurred when I was turning right onto an on ramp and there was a car traveling next to me (who would continue straight) and the warning was going off for no reason. These incidents are extremely dangerous as the flashing and chiming from the alert system is very distracting and causes someone to react to this as opposed to focusing on driving the vehicle. For some people this could lead to a crash by itself as there is no training on what your vehicle will do in one of these situations (ie, like a push to test in an aircraft to know what is making the noise).

As I was driving down the road I began I started to smell something unusual - in a way it smelled like burning plastic and/or anti-freeze. I then began to feel quite a bit more heat than usual on my lower back, so much I knew something was wrong. I pulled my truck over, got out and as soon as I got out my heated seat started producing smoke where I believe the main heated seat coil is. Within seconds a flame burst out from the seat. I luckily had a drink in my cup holder that I reached over to grab & pour out on the flame. It kept smoking after I dumped the liquid on it. I then grabbed a water bottle from my back seat & was able to put the fire out completely. In conclusion, my 2019 Ford Ranger Lariat Crew Cab heated seat caught fire while it was turned on, on 9/15/2022 at approx. 9:00a.

This is in relation to an existing recall on the 2019 Ford Ranger, NHTSA Recall no. 19V-839 This recall was for improperly connected inline electrical connectors from the Ford factory causing issues with rear brake lamps. I have recently had a fault with the same connector, which Ford technicians discovered was not properly connected. This connector failed due to the loose connection, causing all electrical connections in the rear frame (fuel pump, rear view camera, cross traffic warning, parking sensors) to fail. Upon discovering recall 19V-839, I contacted Ford support. I was informed that my truck was built in the same factory as the recalled vehicles, but was completed three days after the impacted period ( JUN 04, 2018 - AUG 16, 2019). Therefor Ford will not consider my issue part of the recall. Ford has advised me to bring this up to the NHTSA to broaden the scope of the recall. I It seems clear to me that this issue was the same as the recall, and likely the original dates were too narrow. I hope you will investigate this issue.

FAQ

What are the most common owner complaints for the 2019 Ford Ranger?

The most reported complaint category for the 2019 Ford Ranger is POWER TRAIN, with 70 owner reports. That is about 23% of all complaints logged here. Other recurring themes include POWER TRAIN, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER.

Are complaints about the 2019 Ford Ranger a serious warning sign?

Potentially. 110 complaint reports fall into higher-attention systems such as brakes, steering, engine, powertrain, fuel, suspension, airbags, or electrical components. That does not prove every vehicle has a defect, but repeated complaints in those systems justify a more careful pre-purchase inspection.

How should buyers use complaint data for the 2019 Ford Ranger?

Use complaints as an early pattern to investigate, not a standalone verdict. Start with the top complaint categories, compare those themes against the recall report and maintenance guide, then inspect service records for evidence that the same problem areas were already addressed. If the same issue appears repeatedly across complaints and recalls, treat it as a real ownership-risk flag.

Are complaints about the 2019 Ford Ranger severe?

110 complaint reports involve higher-attention systems such as brakes, steering, engine, powertrain, fuel, suspension, airbags, or electrical components, which is enough to justify a focused inspection before purchase.

Complaint list entries are sourced from owner-submitted NHTSA ODI records.
