Brand new truck. Initial problem 6-8/2022: The truck would shut off after 15 minutes and then would not start for 45 minutes, I repeated this 4 times. Then while I was driving and turning around in a parking lot it actually stopped, everything went dead, no lights, key didn't have any affect, nothing, and then it started after 10-15 minutes. Dealer replaced the fuse box and I haven't had a problem until the other day. Current problem 7/2023: I was driving about 35 MPH and it just died, no power, no lights, no radio, nothing except interior lights. Tried numerous times to start it but nothing, no sound at all, dead. After about 8 minutes it started. Called numerous dealers and could not get the vehicle looked at for at least 6 weeks and they were skeptical they would be able to find anything unless it did it while at the dealer. The truck has 18,000 miles on it now so it is a very rare problem yet one that could cause a dangerous situation if it dies at the wrong time. I'm extremely concerned the truck could die while driving on the interstate, which I do frequently.

Driving down a busy highway and my truck starts lurching and losing power and then just dies in the road. I had to wait a few minutes and the truck would start up. There were no warnings or lights initially. This happened three times. After the third time it would no longer start, and a solid check engine light appeared after the third time. The check engine light did not present itself the first two times. According to the dealer service department the fuel pump quit working. Based on the time of day, the traffic was horrific, and I was almost rear ended when the truck stopped in the middle of the road.

Problem 1: The F250 has the Pro Trailer Backup option will electronic torque overlay steering. The truck wanders when going straight and the steering feels disconnected driving through curves. Both conditions occur at 45+ MPH. Truck alignment was checked three times. Each time alignment was in spec. No engine light or fault codes with electronic torque overlay steering. Truck is going in again to David McDavid in Fort Worth, TX on Aug. 21st for a deeper inspection. Problem 2: Pre collision warning appears randomly with no vehicles in front or sides. This happens at highway speeds. That said, the pre collision warning has worked at least twice when traffic abruptly stopped and I had to brake equally aggressive. Truck currently has 6,600 miles. Symptoms have been there since driven off the dealer lot new.

TRAILER BRAKE MODULE FAILS WITHOUT NOTICE.
3/29/2022
Trailer wiring fault is the warning message on my information display on my Ford F-250 Super Duty Truck. The warning message appears when I have a trailer attached to my truck. When applying the brakes, the trailer brakes go on and off causing the truck to jerk wildly. The 5th wheel trailer has been in the shop 3 different times trying to find a problem with the trailer but have not found any braking problems since they pulled the trailer with another truck and had no braking issues. Ford dealers have seen the vehicle twice now and say they plugged in an instrument and do not see any problems. Ford had a recall for F-150 Trailer brake controller but not for the F-250 back in April of 2022. It seems to be a possible software problem. I have to pull a trailer but I am afraid it will cause an accident. Any suggestions on what to do next.

Windshield Wipers do not activate when turned on. Rain sensing option is turned off. This is my only vehicle to get to work besides my wife's car, but she needs hers to get to work as she is in the medical field. There wasn't any warning, I was driving west into the sun when I tried to clean my windshield by activating the windshield wiper spray and the wipers never came on. I had to stick my head out the driver side window to see, as my view was completely blocked by the wiper fluid and by the sun. This occurred on May 5,2022 at about 7:30PM. I checked the wipers once when I picked up the vehicle and they did work, but on May 5, 2022 is when I discovered they didn't. Gene Messer Ford in Amarillo Texas has inspected the vehicle and determined the windshield wiper motor is faulty and needs replaced. I was informed the wiper motor on my F250 is not under the wiper recall that was just issued, but the repair will be covered under warranty if the part was available. Part # HC3Z17508A, is backordered with no estimated availability. After Gene Messer Ford made the diagnosis, I had to drive my vehicle in rain without operational wipers 3 or 4 days later. I used Rain X on my windshield to help with visibility. I ordered the F250 from Oxmoor Ford in Louisville Kentucky on November 15, 2021 and it was shipped to Gene Messer Ford in Amarillo. The F250 was built on March 28, 2022 and arrived to Gene Messer on 4/22/2022. I picked the vehicle up on 4/26/2022. On May 16, 2022 I emailed[XXX] [XXX] in Oxmoor Ford to inform him of the situation. I was driving down I-64 and the sunroof suddenly exploded with a bang that sounded like a shotgun going off. Subsequently, my family and I were showered with glass pellets. Nothing hit this roof. The roof simply exploded. It caused me to swerve and almost hit the car next to me and cars behind me were swerving to avoid glass pellets that were blowing off the top of the truck. My wife and I both experienced superficial cuts to our fingers and my wife cut her toe cleaning up the glass. This is a safety issue in every way. Ford refused to stand behind the repair and I was forced to pay for the repair.

I just picked up my Ford F-250 (2022) from Allstar Ford in Prairieville, La. It will have been 3 weeks since I had my truck towed to this dealer! On Tuesday [XXX] my truck stalled in heavy traffic and was able to glide off [XXX] in Baton Rouge and same to a dead stop at the end intersection. I blocked traffic for 30 minutes until truck started and was able to get out of traffic! My Ford pass App text a message to me that my fuel pump module had failed. Dealer could not diagnose a failure and after 3 weeks I finally went and picked it up. They did offer to replace the fuel pump for $1700.00 as my 100,000 warranty could not be applied because dealer diagnostics could not recognize the fault??? Truck has 72,000 mile on it!! So now I am driving around in a vehicle that could stall at any time, without any notice. Now what do I do?? INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C.

I live in a mountain area, many steep hills. When driving down a steep windy road (speed under 30 MPH) I use the exhaust brake so I don't have to ride my brakes. However, the exhaust brake keeps going off and on. Worse yet the engine throttles up increasing speed. I have to then press my brake peddle to slow the truck down. Once I release the brake the truck repeats the same process of speeding up. If I turn off the exhaust brake the issue goes away but then I need to ride the brake. If I am on a steep straight road going over 40 MPH the exhaust brake works like it is supposed to. Another issue of safety is when approaching a stop the engine RPM will not drop below 1200 RPM allowing the truck to slow down unless I push the brake harder then normal. This also happens when driving in a parking lot. The engine will stay at high idle moving the truck to fact in a parking lot situation. These issues are very consistent not just one in a while. I have had the truck into FORD and they say the computer checks out OK. I showed Ford the high idle issue in their own parking lot. They just tell me they can't find the problem. I am not confident that Ford will fix this very unsafe problem. I have now found another person with a 2021 F250 with the same issues. She said Ford will not help her either. I have checked on a few internet forums and see that other have reported the same issues. This is a serious safety issue and need to be addressed. I need to e

All four tires LT275/70R18 on the vehicle are junking out separating with large pieces of rubber. That should not be happening with only 9,628 miles driven on the majority of highway miles with the vehicle only. The tires are original equipment to the Ford F250 purchased in February 2023. The vehicle was taken into the Ford dealership on 18 October 2023 dealers kicked it over to Goodyear manufacture called and had a tire inspection done at a local Goodyear dealer they agreed there was a problem with the tire but are not wanting to fully replace the tires.

Good Year Adventure All terrain M&S LT 275/70R18 load range E DOT [XXX] these tires came on my brand new 2022 Ford F250 bought at a Ford dealership in Colorado Springs February 2023 I drove it off the lot with only 67 miles on it. The truck as been driven 99% of time on paved roads with a unpaved county road here an there. The problem I am having is with all four mounted tires on the truck I noticed at approximately 9,000 miles the tread was peeling/chunking looking very rough & wearing fast for being so new. On October 16, 2023 took truck into dealer where I bought it at with 9,556 miles after returning from my trip they agreed it was unusual looking passed it off for me to contact Good Year which they looked at and said same but not willing to do full replacement of tires. Ford will not replace tires under warranty because "wear is consistent with driving on gravel or unpaved roads" Is that not what all terrain tires are made for? With me driving so little on unpaved roads I really think there most be a problem with the tire compound in this set of tires. After moving truck parked on concrete there are shreds/little pieces of rubber off of the tires that cannot be normal. The tires were rotated as recommend at the dealership at 5,553 miles. With ambient outdoor temperatures below freezing the front right drivers door latch/lock is frozen and not operable during at least the last 5 days. Also, the manual locking mechanism is unable to be pulled to unlocked at it sits flush with the top of door panel leaving the door not operable. It is clearly frozen as the latch/lock starts working after the truck is allowed to warmup after significant run time (usually more than 30 minutes). ***NHTSA something needs to be done with these latches. I previously owned a 2017 Ford F-250 that experienced the same freezing lock/latch issues. Ford supposedly revised the installation and some minor parts for these locks/latches. I cannot fathom how has been allowed to continue and no recall has been issued. DOOR LATCHES KEEP DOORS CLOSED, UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS THE 2017 SUPER DUTY I HAD WOULD NOT ALLOW THE DOORS TO LATCH CLOSED. I fear this will be the same on this truck.

Loss of power windows, loss of A/C and heat, loss of turn signals, loss of radio, and loss of head lights. As well as engine not shutting off after key is pulled out. The first initial problems arose a year ago, not long after purchasing a 2022 Ford f250 superduty. Only when it rained or during very cold days the power to the front dash would be out including power windows and locks, radio, and A/C and heat. Ford dealership was unable to diagnose the problem. A year down the road, directly following a hard rain, the engine would not shut off when turning the key and removing it. I had to pull the fuel pump relay fuse from under hood to get the truck to shut off. After removing the lid, which was way too easy to take off, I noticed that all th box fuses were submerged in water. Yes there are safety concerns, what if my child ir myself was to get trapped inside the truck if the power windows and locks are malfunctioning? And on a hot day when the heat and air conditioning are also not working? How long would the truck have to continue to run before it shut off? There are electrical fire risks directly correlated with water in the fuse box. There were no warning lamps. Ford posted a service bulletin on regards to this matter. The power distribution module and the fuse box lid are at fault. The truck has since been repaired and are making us pay for it because it is 5,000 miles out of warranty. WE ARE extremely dissatisfied Ford customers!
