TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN HE STARTS HIS TRUCK THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE SWITCHED GEARS, THE TRANSITION WAS ROUGH. THERE WERE SOME TIMES WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD REMAIN STUCK IN A CERTAIN GEAR AND THEN HAVE A DELAY IN SHIFTING THUS PUTTING A STRAIN ON THE TRANSMISSION. WHEN THE CONTACT USED THE VEHICLE TO TOW THE ISSUE WAS EVEN WORSE. THE DEALER (GENE MESSER FORD LUBBOCK 6000 WEST 19TH, LUBBOCK, TX 79407 (806) 793-2727) STATED THAT ISSUE MAY BE WITH THE PCM AND PTM. THEY WERE GOING TO CHECK WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND GET BACK WITH THE CONTACT. THE CONTACT TRIED TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER BUT THE CALL DISCONNECTED. THE VEHICLE REMAINED UNREPAIRED. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED THAT THE VEHICLE CAN BE DRIVEN FOR NOW BUT NOT TO TOW ANYTHING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,900.

VEHICLE DEMONSTRATES REPEATABLE UNCOMMANDED ACCELERATION WHEN SHIFTING FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR. ALSO DEMONSTRATES UNCOMMANDED ACCELERATION WHEN ENGINE BRAKING ENGAGES. OCCASIONALLY VEHICLE OPERATES AT A UNCOMMANDED HIGH IDLE OF 1200-1500 RPM VS THE NORMAL 600. MOSTLY HAPPENS WHEN SLOW MANEUVERING SUCH AS IN A PARKING LOT OR OTHER TIGHT SPACE. IT HAS HAPPENED EVER SINCE NEW AND IT HAS 5100 MILES ON IT NOW. PURCHASING DEALER SAID IT WAS NORMAL. OTHERS ARE REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE IN FORUMS ONLINE.

TRUCK HAS A BAD WOBBLE IN STEERING WHEN IT HITS BUMPS AT HIGHWAY SPEED. IT HAS 2,000 MILES ON IT. I THINK SOME FOLKS HAVE CALLED THIS A "DEATH WOBBLE". WHEN IT HAPPENS IT COULD EASILY CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL. THE STEERING FEELS LIKE IT HAS TOO MUCH SLOP IN IT EVEN AT LOW SPEEDS. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND I'VE SEEN THIS MENTIONED MANY TIMES ON THE INTERNET. I THOUGHT IT MAY BE JUST OLD TRUCKS, BUT MINE IS BRAND NEW.

MY BRAND NEW 2020 F250 LARIAT WAS DELIVERED TO MY HOME YESTERDAY. IT WAS DRIVEN ROUGHLY 80 MILES FROM DENVER TO COLORADO SPRINGS BY THE SALESMAN WHO SOLD IT TO ME, BUT IS OTHERWISE UNUSED. I NOTICED LAST NIGHT THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE RUNNING TO THE LEFT REAR WHEEL APPEARS TO BE TOO LONG. AS A RESULT IT HAS A LOOP IN IT THAT IS POSITIONED BETWEEN THE MAIN LEAF SPRINGS AND A SECONDARY SPRING THAT I BELIEVE ENGAGES WHEN THE TRUCK IS FULLY LOADED. IT'S PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT UNDER A FULL LOAD, THE BRAKE CABLE IS AT RISK OF BEING PINCHED BY THE SPRINGS. I HAVE LITTLE DOUBT THAT THE DEALER WILL FIX THIS FOR ME WHEN I ASK, BUT AM ALARMED THAT OTHER SIMILAR TRUCKS MAY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

My steering wheel is out of orientation by 5 to 10 degrees. there is a shimming in the steering wheel. This is accentuated when i change lanes on the freeway and go over the lane deliniators. If i am on a smooth road on the freeway, my vehicle tracks perfectly staight without and pressure on the steering wheel(hands off, no other vihicles near me. I have less than 15,000 miles. Check mu service record. It is stellar. No accidents. No off road driving. Move my fifth wheel tralir 20 feet to a new space only. Never had the fifth wheel on the road yet. My fifth wheel is an ultra lite design for a F-150. There was a lawsuit for the Death Wobble for the 2019 and earlier models. How many adults and children have to die before it shows up on your radar screen. What are the algorithems for this to be a unhidden issue. Shame on you.

THE LOWER COOLING HOSE CAME LOOSE ON MY FORD 2020 F250 WITH1650 MILES ON THE VEHICLE, WHILE TRAVELING ON A INTERSTATE TOWING A LOAD OF APPROXIMATELY 7000LBS. THE ENGINE LOST POWER AND WE MANAGED TO SAFELY EXIT OF THE INTERSTATE. THE MAX. SPEED OF THE VEHICLE WAS 20 MPH WHILE TRYING TO EXIT THE INTERSTATE SAFELY, IT WAS AN INTENSE MOMENT TO GET OFF THE BUSY INTERSTATE SAFELY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP, AND WE ARE AWAITING A DIAGNOSIS.
10/5/2020
WHILE TRAVELING ON AN INTERSTATE, I NOTICE MY VEHICLE WAS SMOKING. SOON MY ENGINE HIGH TEMPERATURE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY SPEED DROPPED FROM 65 MPH TO 20 MPH. I WAS IN THE CENTER LANE WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I SCRAMBLED TO GET THE TRUCK AND THE TRAVEL TRAILER I WAS PULLING OVER INTO THE RIGHT LANE AND MEDIAN, DOING ALL I COULD TO PREVENT AN ACCIDENT. ONCE I REACHED THE MEDIAN I WAS APPROX. 1/4 MILES FROM AN EXIT. I DROVE TO THE EXIT AT MY VEHICLES MAX SPEED OF 20 MPH. ONCE STOPPED I REVIEWED MY TRUCK AND NOTICED ENGINE COOLANT POURING FROM A LINE THAT HAD DISCONNECTED. UPON REVIEW THE LINE DID NOT HAVE A CLAMP PRESENT AND THERE WERE NO WITNESS OR COMPRESSION MARKS ON THE HOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE DEALER CONFIRMED THE DEFECT OF NO HOSE CLAMP OR THE HOSE WAS INSTALLED IMPROPERLY AT THE FACTORY.

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving 75 MPH with the Adaptive Cruise Control activated, the vehicle started shuddering and lost motive power. The message "Engine Failure" was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with high-pressure fuel pump failure. The dealer diagnosed that the fuel injectors, the high-pressure fuel pump, and the fuel lines needed to be replaced, Additionally, the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) fuel tank needed to be cleaned. The dealer informed the contact that the repair was covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,942.

The contact stated that while driving up a slight incline and pulling a trailer a burning type odor was suddenly present inside the cabin and the check engine light had flashed on before the vehicle began to lose power and stalled. After lifting the hood smoke and flames were present coming from the engine compartment. The contact attempted to extinguish the flames using a fire extinguisher but was unsuccessful and the flames intensified and began to spread to the cabin of the vehicle. Eventually the vehicle was completely destroyed from the flames. A fire report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. A police report was not taken. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer was notified of the incident. The contact also indicated that a motorist observed fuel leaking from under the vehicle prior to the incident. The failure mileage was 28,000.

ON AUGUST 28, 2020, THE ENGINE IN MY VIRTUALLY BRAND NEW 2020 FORD F-250 TRUCK (EQUIPPED WITH A DIESEL ENGINE) SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT ANY ADVANCED WARNING WHATSOEVER SHUT OFF WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. I HAD JUST TURNED FROM STATE HIGHWAY 10 INTO THE LEFT LANE OF A FOUR-LANE CITY STREET IN 5 O'CLOCK TRAFFIC ON A FRIDAY EVENING. WITHOUT EITHER POWER BRAKES OR POWER STEERING, I WAS ABLE TO GET THE TRUCK OUT OF THE ROADWAY AND INTO THE PARKING LOT OF AN ADJACENT BUSINESS. I TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE NUMEROUS TIMES. WHILE THE ENGINE WOULD CRANK, IT SIMPLY WOULD NOT RESTART. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP THE NEXT MORNING AND THEY ARRANGED TO HAVE THE TRUCK TOWED TO THEIR PLACE OF BUSINESS. AFTER THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAD MY TRUCK FOR NEARLY A MONTH, THEY DETERMINED THAT THE CAUSE FOR THE SUDDEN SHUTDOWN OF MY ENGINE WAS A FAILED BOSCH CP4 HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP, WHICH FAILURE CONTAMINATED MY ENTIRE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH METAL SHAVINGS. I AM NOW AWARE THAT THERE ARE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS AGAINST EACH OF THE MAJOR US MANUFACTURERS RELATING TO FAILURES OF THE BOSCH CP4 HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP AS A RESULT OF THE LACK OF LUBRICATION PROVIDED BY LOW-SULFUR DIESEL FUEL GENERALLY AVAILABLE IN THE US, WHICH FAILURES RESULT IN SUBSTANTIAL REPAIR COSTS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM.

TRANSMISSION HAD SNECOR AND VALVE BODY GO OUT CAUSED TRANSMISSION TO LOCK UP IN 10TH GEAR AND STALLING OUT. DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE PARTS WITH NEW ONES, BU TDID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND NOW STALLES AND SLIPPES WHEN SHIFTING GEARS, OR SOMETIMES SHIFTS SO HARD IT SHAKES THE TRUCK (F250 DIESEL). HAS A GRINDING NOISE WHEN DOWN SHIFTING FROM 5,4,3 GEARS. WHEN DRIVINING THE TRUCK AND GO TO PASS AROUND ANOTHER VEHICLE IS SLIPS GEARS ARE STALLES DOWN UNTIL IT CAN CATCH ITS GEAR TO GO HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 6,500 MILES ON IT AND WAS PURCHASED AUGUST 26, 2020 AND SHOULD NOT HAVE THESE ISSUES AND PROBLEMS. MOST OF ALL THE FACTORY ENGINEERS SHOULD NOT DENY THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX AND REPLACE WHAT IS WRONG AND CAUUSING THE LOUND AND UPNOGCHIS KNOCKING TICKING SOUND EVEN AFTER DOING A BLACK BOX FLIGHT RECORDER TO DETERMINE WHERE THE PROBLEM IS COMING FROM. THEY SAID TO KEEP DRIVING UNTIL ENOUGH COMPLAINTS COM IN TO HAVE A RECALL SENT OUR ARE UNTIL IT BRAKES AND GOES OUT. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO EVERYONE ON THE ROAD AND COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE HARM TO INISANT PEOPLE, SUCH AS MYSELF, MY FAMILY, AND OTHERS OUT ON THE ROAD. On 4/24/2022, during a snow storm the passenger side wiper failed to work and came disconnected from the vehicle. The drivers side wiper stopped working and would not return to the downward (parked) position. Both wiper arms are stripped and non-functional. I was forced to wait for two days for weather/roads to clear before I could leave for my destination, due to the non-functioning wipers and weather. I tried to order new wiper arms from on-line dealers and third party dealers only to have all orders canceled as that there are no parts available, and that new availability was unknown. While in search of these parts, I found that there is a Ford recall on this issue, Safety notice #22S26 / NATSA #22V250. On 5/18/2022 I went to a Ford dealer for repairs and was told there are no parts, with no known time of receiving such parts. On 6/10/2022 I returned to the dealer and was told the same information, no parts. On 6/14/2022 I called Ford and was given a case number, and informed that the arrival of any new replacement parts was still unknown. The truck is obviously not safe to drive in, or when inclement weather is advised and/or happening. I have had to pull off the road and wait out rain storms and fog as well. Ford has made no offer of reimbursement due to lost use of this vehicle , or offered to sponser a loaner truck for use while waiting for the the repairs/parts to come available. At best, Ford has offered to try and escalate my request for replacement parts, which to date is still unknown, and parts are still unavailable. ... Which leaves me with a, new 2020 F-250 that is, and has been, unsafe drive since April of this year (which, by the way, I pay almost $1000.00 per month in a loan payment on.)

I have had several incidents when driving at night that I keep getting flashed by other drivers thinking my truck head lights are on high beam. I see there is a recall for other year models for the DRL is not dimming when the low beams are on. I am thinking this is happening to this truck. I am going to have ford look at it but they are just going to check light alignment.

[XXX] watch?v=4QLrqlCd3c0 * This video is about the South Texas taillight theft rings that local Ford Dealers are aware of and not notifying the customers to protect their property. The Tail lights only take 30 to 45 seconds to steal and cost between $3,500.00 to $4,200.00 to buy plus install and coding. They are in shortage according to local Ford dealer because of the thefts. So, you have to go out to Facebook Market Place and buy your lights back from a host of characters reselling these lights. The consumers are out a lot of money and time dealing with , body shop, insurance company, and a host of characters. It's the next Ford part theft ring that cost folks money they cannot spare ....This is BS Ford Motor and Dealers!!!!!. The thieves easily bypass the alarm because of Ford's design that allows tailgate to be open from inside after easily removing inspection cover (4 screws) and remove the lights in 30 seconds (two screws per tail light). The theft of the Tail Lights makes the truck undriveable. The Ford Light Theft is so bad that there are a shortage of lights and Body Shop long lead-times if you try and order and install through Ford Body Shop. Could be all corrected if factory alarm would go off when tail gate drops after being set and using $10.00 worth of anti theft screws. Ford is not notifying F150/f250 customers when they know this is happening. Cost to consumer $4,500 to $5,000.00 and months of waiting for your truck. The thieves are advertising the lights on Facebook Market Place and E-Bay Motors. * This is a circus that Ford can stop by fixing a alarm system and using anti thief fasteners. The components in questions is transmission. My sister had borrowed my truck. She put the truck in park and walked back inside to grab an item. Her dog ran out of the house and at that moment she realized the truck was rolling forward. Luckily they was a passenger in the passenger seat that was quick to act and climbed over the middle console and pressed on the brake. There is a video of the insistent. The passenger then confirmed the truck was In park and moved the selector to reverse then park then reverse and park again. Please note the truck was on relatively flat ground. Not a huge incline hill. The truck could have killed the dog or even ran over my sister in her pursuit to get her dog away from the truck. They problem was attempted to be recreated at the moment of the incident but wasnât retractable at the time. I will be checking it every time I drive the truck from hear on. No one was hurt so a report wasnât filed with the police nor was it taken to the dealer for inspection. There was no warning lights illuminated at the time. However The gear selector did show park. 2020 Ford F250 Super Duty, I have a Severe Death Wobble that has developed for the second time in a short period of time. The Ford Death Wobble is The Violent Shaking of the Vehicle can cause loss of control of the vehicle and difficulty steering wile vehicle is in operation at any time under typical driving conditions or speed. This exposes the driver and occupants of vehicle, as well as others who share the road with them, to an increased risk of accident, injury, or death. This description of death wobble was taken from a class action lawsuit that was filed in 2019. The first occurrence happened around 47,000 miles. I brought it in to the dealership; they said it was a steering damper not covered under the warranty. I paid for the replacement of steering damper. However the replacement did not fix the issue. I took it back in for further evaluation and repairs. After nearly a week of them having the vehicle at the dealership; they finally agreed to have the track bar replaced under warranty. The technician working on vehicle said that an axle needed to be replaced as well but it was not replaced at the time. After track bar was replaced; there was a drastic improvement and problem was resolved but short lived. About 7 months later and at 85,000 miles the death wobble has returned and is much worse. Due to the issue, steering is very loose and sloppy. causing you to catch the vehicle from side to side of the lane due to the steering wheel not being straight. setting off errors and disables many of the safety features. Some of the features that are disabled wile driving: advanced traction control system, pre-collision assist system fault, abs system, hill descent control fault, hill start assist. After bringing truck to dealership for this issue again; they quickly realized that the issue has returned again and stated that the axle shaft will need to be replaced this time in addition to prior parts. They again are trying to say that warranty may not cover repairs

Was driving on the highway when my truck(2020 f250) dash lit up, steering got extremely heavy, no abs, no drive modes, lost of collision emergency braking, lost all trailering functions, lost auto 4 wheel drive, hill assist, hill decline assist while hauling 10,00lbs. Ran diagnostics and it appear to be a wheels speed sensor. However, it went away and is now an intermittent issue. I understand parts fail on a truck but I am extremely concerned that I lost all of my safety features as well as all my towing features while towing on a highway, yet the truck still drives. I couldn't imagine towing max capacity (22,500lbs) and losing all those functions, it would almost guarantee a crash. How can a vehicle this new be rendered useless with a small sensor malfunction and continue to drive.

On numerous occasions when trying to accelerate to merge into traffic, the throttle does not respond to the request for multiple seconds, then power is returned and truck lunges. This has caused merging traffic to not understand my intention and they overcompensate. This also happens when trying to overcome another vehicle, which could lead to inability and raises risk of not having enough anticipated lead time to overcome other vehicle.

This is the 6th time this has happened. All driving speeds from 60-75 mph. Will hit a random bump in the road and the front end will go in to a severe death wobble. When this happens you cannot steer the vehicle, or stop it easily. The only way to make it stop is to get slowed down to 20 mph or so. We have had it at the dealership weâve purchased it from several times with no fix yet. It has become scary to drive for both me and my wife. Ford should have a recall out before it kills anybody.

Tailgate will open by itself going down the road and sometimes when parked. Key fob is in console not my pocket so I know the button is not being pressed accidentally. Some mornings when I leave for work it will be down. Seems to do it more often when I start truck, release parking brake and shift into reverse. If Iâm pulling my trailer and it does this itâs going to damage tailgate also safety concern loosing cargo while going down road. I have checked the key fob and it takes two consecutive presses to open tailgate. That seems to work fine.

LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
