Transmission failure at 2,600 mi under low speed. The vehicle lost momentum and revved before catching gear causing an intense jerk feeling like it had been rear-ended. Immediately following the jolt multiple errors were displayed across the dash including Drive-Start Control Malfunction, PKSB System Malfunction, Hybrid System Malfunction, DRCC & PCS system malfunction screens along with orange indicators for the brake system warning, driving assist, DRCC & PCS. I was able to drive the vehicle in limp mode, as the transmission wouldn't shift up or down, to my local dealer who was able to verify multiple Pressure Control Solenoid error codes. After conferring with Toyota Engineering, they recommended a full transmission and torque converter replacement. Parts aren't readily available and the repair is expected to take between 4-8 weeks as they wait for new parts to come off the assembly line. The dealership has provided me with a loaner vehicle and all work is covered under warranty.

The vehicle hesitates on flat roads at steady speed. The hesitation is noticable especially at around 25mph. The hesitation seems to be strong with the air conditioning on, and while in drive. When the gear is manually selected and the air conditioning is off, the hesitation is less noticeable. Hesitation is particularly strong and erratic when the engine and transmission are cold and the vehicle is going up a a steady incline with a gradual acceleration.

I am writing to express my concern regarding an incident that occurred during my visit to Suburban Toyota of Farmington Hills, Michigan on [XXX], around 3 PM EST. I was there to test drive a brand new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser (VIN: [XXX] ). During the test drive, I noticed the vehicle had an empty gas tank with only 7 miles of range left. I stopped at a BP gas station and discovered that my salesperson, No’ah Edwards, had sent me on the test drive without a vehicle key, using only the remote start. This meant that if the vehicle had stopped for any reason, it could not be restarted. I reported the issue to Mr. Edwards, who arrived and restarted the vehicle using remote start again, providing me with a key for a Toyota Tacoma, which was not compatible with the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser I was driving. As an automotive engineer with extensive experience driving various vehicles, I have never encountered such a lack of professionalism and customer care. Mr. Edwards' actions not only jeopardized my safety but also the safety of other drivers and pedestrians on the road. This level of negligence is unacceptable, and I am deeply concerned about the implications for other customers. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

AC does not work in cold weather. Only blows 140 degrees when set to 60 or higher but blows 40 degrees on low. No in between. Took to dealer and they replicated the issue and agreed it needs to be fixed asap but can’t find anything wrong. They had a corporate master technician look at it a week later when the weather warmed up and he could not replicate the issue so nothing was done. It is now cold again and it only blows extremely hot on anything except low. Many other owners complaining about this issue online. PLEASE take this seriously it is making me have to sell the car if no remedy is done.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

The automatic emergency braking is activated when no objects are in front of the car potentially resulting in being rear ended. The feature is so oversensitive that it is safer to deactivate it. Car taken to a local dealership and the concern was replicated with a dealership technician. The dealership refused to evaluate the safety concern any further as the car is being inspected by a Toyota regional technician. Additionally, the brakes squeak when in reverse but the concern has not been addressed by multiple dealerships or Toyota headquarters.

2024 Land Cruiser, purchased in July, 2024 has had 4 random hard downshifts when coming to a stop and then lunges forward as when a driver downshifts harshly in a manual car (keeping in mind that the land cruiser is an automatic and the driver is not intentionally down shifting). On the 4th occurance, I nearly rear ended a car. Fist occurance at approximately 250 miles and last occurance at approximately 1,200 miles. The car was taken to a local dealership on 11/04/24 but the dealership refused to further evaluate as Toyota headquarters informed them that the vehicle is sheduled to be evaluted by a Toyota regional technician. On 11/12/24, the toyota regional technician did not replicate the safety concern per the dealership and it was advised to go pick up the car. As of 11/18, the car remains in the local dealership due to my safety concerns. Toyota headquarters has not advised me or dealership on the next steps. No warning lights on the dash are present and Toyota does not consider this a safety issue as it has not been replicated. Concern of the car automatically braking without objects in front has been brought up to Toyota as well.

I recently purchased a new 2024 Land Cruiser. After only 2 thousand miles, the majority of the trim on the passenger side melted and had to be replaced. I contacted my dealer that I purchased the car from as well as Toyota corporate. They have taken no action and have called it "solar convergence". In fact, the first Toyota dealer told me to "keep it out the sun". Can you believe the explanation and lack of responsibility! This is definitely a defect in the trim material and needs to be recalled. I have since paid and replaced most of the trim because I couldn't stand to look at it. Please review my complaint and help me get this corrected. I would be happy to send the defected trim pieces and my invoices to repair this mess. Thank you

Distance between the road and the underside of the wheel arches in the rear differs by 1.25 inches. Rear sagging to the left. Left rear spring weaker than right rear. Accentuated body lean when taking a right hand turn. Same load over each wheel causes more compression on the left spring versus the right spring. Toyota states the right to left is equal...this is not case.
