ON JANUARY 30 2015. I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 65 MPH .UPON ENTERING THE TAPPEN ZEE BRIDGE ALL DASH LIGHTS CAME ON AND I ENCOUNTERED A SUBSTANTIAL LOSS. OF SPEED/POWER. TOP SPEED WAS AROUND 5-10 MPH. AFTER GETTING TO SAFE PLACE , I CONTACTED HYUNDAI ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE ,THEY TOLD ME IT WASN'T THEIR PROBLEM. AFTER A 3 HOUR "COOLDOWN" I WAS ABLE TO TRANSPORT THE CAR TO ROCKLAND HYUNDAI. AFTER SEVERAL MORE HOURS THE SERVICE TECH TOLD ME " THE DEALER PREP BUTTON " WASN'T PUSHED. THIS SOUNDED SUSPICIOUS , SO I CONTACTED SEVERAL DEALERS. I WAS TOLD BY ALL OF THEM THERE ISN'T A DEALER PREP BUTTON. HOWEVER THERE IS A SWITCH. WAS ALSO TOLD IF THIS SWITCH WASN'T ACTIVATED THE CAR WOULD NOT DO WHAT IT DID( GO INTO SAFE MODE) . THE SWITCH CONTROLS ACCESSORIES ( POWER WINDOWS, RADIO, LIGHTS...) TO THIS DAY I HAVE BEEN TOLD WHAT REALLY HAPPENED. I ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT WITH HYUNDAI, BUT ALL I GET IS THEM STALLING.

I RENTED THIS VEHICLE FROM ALAMO CAR RENTAL, LAX, ON AUGUST 14, 2015 AND RETURNED IT TO ALAMO LAX ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2015 FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON. THE FRONT BUMPER COVER SPONTANEOUSLY DETACHED FROM THE BODY. THE AUTO HAD BEEN PARKED OVERNIGHT IN THE HOUSING COMPLEX PARKING LOT. I DISCOVERED IT UPON WALKING TO THE CAR IN THE MORNING. THERE WAS NO SIGN OF ANY IMPACT OR TRAUMA THAT MIGHT HAVE CAUSED THE SEPARATION. IT WAS AS IF TWO PIECES THAT FIT TOGETHER SIMPLY CAME APART.

Loss of brake traction, there's no pressure applied to control spinning wheel when driving in the rain or sleet. The wheel kept spinning when traction was suppose to kick in to help prevent sliding. I had to pump the brake as I slide in the rain and recent snow in Ohio. Dec 26, 2022 Dennis Hyundai confirmed faulty HECU/ABS control module. The car is currently at Hyundai's dealership for further testing. The warning light came on, but went out a week before taking the 2015 Hyundai Accent to be serviced.

Airbag light turns on/off. Had dealership investigate and found that it is related to the occupancy sensor mat in the passenger seat. Code was reset (no work performed) and remained off 7 months and now is back on. Could be related to weather (comes on more frequently during fall & winter). Dealer states it is a B1767 code and will need OCS mat replaced.

I CHANGE MY OIL ON THE DATE THAT IT'S DUE IT MY MILES WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. I WAS OUT OF TOWN 2-20-21. THE CAR WAS DRIVING REALLY ROUGH.. RED LIGHT CAME IN THEN OFF. THE NEXT DAY, MY BOYFRIEND TOOK IT TO GET AND OIL CHANGE WHICH I STILL HAD 1,000 MILES UNTIL THE NEXT OIL CHANGE. THEY TOLD HIM IT WAS THE OIL PUMP. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED BC I FAITHFULLY CHANGE MY OIL. I HAVEN'T BEEN DRIVING IT BC THEY SAID IT WILL BLOW UP THE MOTOR. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET IT TOWED AND FIXED. IT'S GOING TO COST OVER $600.00. I HAVE TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE THEY SAY IT'S TO NEW OF A CAR TO HAVE THE OIL PUMP MESS UP.

Okay, I'm going to try my best at explaining what I am experiencing. This is my SECOND Hyundai Accent. The first car I had was a 2004 Accent. The second car I have now is a 2015. Both cars have the same exact problem. And I am NOT fixing it. This is definitely a MANUFACTURING ERROR. It's so dangerous too, because my engine could just BLOW UP. Anywhoooo, both cars just BURN OIL LIKE GAS. I repeat, BURN OIL LIKE GAS. I need to check the oil every (at the most) 2 weeks because of how badly oil is just burning up. Also, there is a "Check Engine" code being thrown for something small in the EVAP System. Same cars, 11 years apart. Same problems!? I don't think that is right WHATSOEVER. I have researched ongoing recalls & expired recalls. To my disappointment, I find NOTHING. This is a MAJOR ISSUE. There is absolutely zero irony in 2 cars, being 11 years apart, newer one being a 6 speed manual, having the SAME ISSUES EXACTLY. I was so happy to get a newer one, thinking, "oh there can't be possibly anything wrong with this model". WRONG. Absolutely, positively NO CAR should have to dump almost 5 quarts of oil in your car every 1000 miles or less. I constantly need to buy 1 or 2 quarts of oil BIWEEKLY for this 2015 Hyundai Accent. I can't just get rid of it, cars are expensive! This is absolutely the manufacturers problem. So I am going above their heads to get this taken care of. Monday, I want to try and call Hyundai, either the one near me, or some "hotline". This is unacceptable. My car will show that "low oil pressure" light and my heart just drops. "I just put oil in it!". I say to myself. Do not get me wrong. I love my car. I want my car taken care of. As, when I bought it, Blaise Alexander *apparently* didn't know about it. And they flat out lied about the check engine light! I've had numerous people look at it. They hardly have an answer. Its expensive and labor intensive. Please help me solve this problem. I am NOT the only one. -Morgan Buerk

The steering wheel, when in use in turning, emanates a fairly distinct "clicking" sound, whether turning left or right. I have been told this happens in hyundai and kia vehicles, and that there has been some movement from manufacturer to replace the "Steering Coupler" in some models. I first noticed mine approximately 6 months ago. Will I receive a letter for my dealership to replace mine? I bought new (August 2015) and now have only 57,000 miles on vehicle. I am afraid if this gets worse I might loose ability to steer and that it could happen at the worst possible moment. Can you help?
