In the 2 years that I owned the van I have walked away from the car after a journey and accidentally left the van running 3 times and my mechanic has done it once. 2 of those times it was left running all night. Once it ran out of gas. It seems to happen when I am distracted. The safety issue is that the van has no warning system when this happens and there is a lot of carbon monoxide released into the air. It could be lethal in an enclosed area. Also, note that it is a push button start and I have the key fob with me when this happens, so the fob is far away from the van and it is still running.

STEERING

The steering wheel sticks when exiting a turn, this can be reproduced on every turn. There is a risk of overcompensating steering if you do not anticipate the steering wheel sticking. There is also a vague spot in the steering when driving in a straight line, the vehicle will drift to one side and when you correct it will drift to the other side. Wheel alignment was checked and tires are in good condition. The dealer inspected the vehicle and confirmed the steering problem, the steering components were replaced by the dealer and this corrected the steering problem. The were no warning lights, no messages and no sounds emanating from the steering. The vehicle was not in any accidents - to our knowledge.

Our second row seat on the passenger side has a head rest that will not fold upright and lock into place. The seat itself is useless due to the headrest not folding up correctly and is a safety hazard for anyone to sit in it. I bought this vehicle for the purpose of having all available seats to be used for our family and now we have one seat that cannot be used. No matter how many times we tried to push it up or folding the seat all the way down and then back up it still does not lock into place on the headrest. We have did research and many people have had the same issue and have not been able to get it fixed even after taking it to a repair service or dealer. This needs to be a serious recall and should be fixed if so many others have had the same issues.

I was driving on a freeway. My car had no warning lights. Suddenly the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and the car lost all power. The engine was running, but the gas pedal was unresponsive. The transmission went to neutral. I was forced to coast to the side of the road. Luckily there was somewhere to go. Someone was trying to merge as I was slowing down. It was quite scary. Once the car stopped, it put it self into park and I was stuck. After about twenty minutes, the warning lights turned off and the car drove normally. This happened 3 more time. I finally parked the car. I took it to a mechanic, but said he couldn't work on it because Chrysler hadn't released the technical information for the diagnostic system. I tried cleaning the connections to the computer and the car ran great. The next day I tried driving to work and the car died again. I was going up hill and car quickly came to a stop in front someones driveway. I tried putting the car in neutral, so that I could drift backwards out of the way. The car kept putting itself pack into park. I've had many cars break down on me over there years, but I was always able to get out of harms way by drifting to a safe location or pushing the car off the road. Being stuck in park is an unacceptable safety hazard. If the car had ever broke down on a busy freeway, I would be stopped in the middle of lane, waiting for someone to smash into me from behind.

I purchased a 2021 Chrysler Voyager in August 2024 from Apple Autos in Shakopee MN. When we purchased the car, there has always been a rough idle and were assured that this was due to the automatic start/engine. Around July 2025, I began experiencing engine issues that have persisted for over two months. Initial issues were a significant rough idle and car dying. We brought the car in and repaired both batteries and replaced all the spark plugs. The issues have persisted. Symptoms include overheating, coolant loss, and misfires on cylinder 3. Diagnostics suggest a head gasket failure. This issue poses a safety risk, especially if the engine fails while driving. Iâve attempted repairs, but the problem remains unresolved. Iâm concerned this may be a premature failure affecting other vehicles of the same model and engine type. There is no official recall for head gasket failure on the 2021 Chrysler Voyager, but there are numerous owner reports and forum discussions suggesting that early engine failure and head gasket issues are a concernâespecially for vehicles that were former rentals or have the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine, which is shared with the Chrysler Pacifica. Several Voyager owners have reported head gasket failures around 50,000â70,000 miles. These issues often appear shortly after warranty expiration, leading to costly repairs. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and consider whether a recall or manufacturer intervention is warranted.
