Vet delivered 5/31/22. I noticed that the daylight driving lights came on when it was dark and headlights came on during the day, completely backwards when vehicle headlights switched to "auto" . Took vehicle to dealership and they replaced the dash light sensor but this did't fix the problem. Dealership notified Chevrolet regarding the problem. Went to the web page titled CorvetteForum.com and noticed other '23 Corvette owners with the same problem. It's been almost 6 months with "NO" word from Chevrolet as to when this issue will be resolved.

The backup camera display will occasionally not display what is behind the vehicle (the screen is blank with a strange icon in the middle of it). This is not a consistent problem. It sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't. I almost backed over a child who wasn't visible. In my research this problem also happens to other GM vehicles.

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while the vehicle was in reverse(R), the transmission failed to engage as the gear indicator light began to flash and the service transmission message was displayed on the instrument panel. After multiple attempts, the contact was able to engage the transmission and drove the vehicle to dealer where they were unable to diagnose or service the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a complaint was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 812.

Put vehicle in reverse. Vehicle would not move. Vehicle placed back in park. Put vehicle in reverse again; and after advanced acceleration heard a loud clunk sound and jarring movement. Car continued in reverse normally. Vehicle was put into drive and driven approximately 500 feet at which time vehicle shut down. Service transmission and ârear axle not engagedâ messages showing, as well as an overheating message. Dealership unresponsive.

The vehicle has had rear and front camera failure within 72 hours of me buying it (91 miles); and I let my sales guy know, we decided to bring it by the dealership one day when it is malfunctioning. I got it to act up that Saturday 3/18/23 with 123 miles, and it showed 2 DTC's (B1A62 and U0131), but with a limited staff, they had no one to look at it. Still not upset, I said whatever and figured I would just drive it and bring it back during the weekdays It happened again this morning on the way to work, and I took it right in; they were able to scan it again and show the fault codes. This is where it gets really upsetting; the tool/adapter they need to test the AV cable is showing June 16th ship date. I sell cars for a living also, and this is something I would never expect a customer to just deal with and wait. I literally can't drive the car in and out of my driveway without the camera system. My wife almost ran into the door because the camera does not work. My fear is a child could be hit or run over, and I can't believe General Motors is ok with a new vehicle being sold, failing immediately after delivery, and having no way to fix the problem. I have contacted someone at GM corporate, and they also instructed me to wait for diagnostic. This is a concern on other Corvettes, and not the first instance of this happening.

The reverse camera works intermittently, but fails more often than it works properly. Able to reset by shutting car off and leaving door open for 90 seconds, then restarting. Works for that ignition/drive cycle but then becomes unreliable again after next startup. Car is a week old. Have not brought to dealer yet for warranty claim, however as this is a required safety system I am reporting it.

SERVICE BRAKES

Normal driving conditions while in Z-mode in moderate traffic, an audible bang was heard, however there was no immediate issue. A few minutes later the Check Engine Light, ABS, Traction Control and other lights appear on dash. Once lights appear, brakes fail and no longer slow the car down, the gas pedal only revved the car and could no longer accelerate. The car was still on and âdrivingâ, I just didnât have acceleration or brakes. I put my turn signal on and eventually was able to safely pull off the road and stop the vehicle utilizing Neutral and the Emergency Parking Brake. I was in genuine fear of crashing due to not having brakes or acceleration and felt that if the parking brake and/or neutral failed, then Iâd have to crash to stop the vehicle. Not having brakes or acceleration put myself, my passenger, and every vehicle around me when it occurred at risk of injury. This has occurred twice in less than 1 year of ownership with this vehicle and Iâve taken it to two dealerships, Mike Reichenbach Chevrolet and Rick Hendrick Chevrolet. When it first occurred in December 2023, I was also in Z-Mode in light traffic, after it occurred, I drove slowly to the dealership with the hazard lights on. The second time I brought it to a dealership was after the first dealership couldnât find the cause nor replicate the issue. The codes were cleared by the first dealership, but the car was still operating roughly and not as designed. The third time, in July 2024, it was brought to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet where the service invoice says âGOOD POSSIBILITY THE AFTERMARKET GPS UNIT PLUGGED INTO THE DLC PORT IS SHORTING OUT THE VEHICLE COMMUNICATION CIRCUITS AND CAUSING INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL ISSUES. MAY BE ALSO CAUSING BATTERY DRAIN ISSUE.â The device referred to is called Bouncie, I got it AFTER this first occurred and the service team there is blaming both of these occurrences on the device. No repair was performed as the issue couldnât be replicated.

When drive slowly, sometimes it grinds really lound when the wheels are wet or dry. Took it to 2 different dealers, they said it's normal. I have video for both incidents.

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle at the local Carson City,NV CHEVROLET dealer on 5/18/2025 my passenger started to hear a muffled âthumping noiseâ from the right front foot well? I am a disabled veteran USAF pilot with hearing loss and did not immediately hear it. The car had 29,129 miles on it when purchased and was a âcertified vehicleâ with some remaining original warranty as well as an extended warranty given its great condition(I was told!) After a few hundred miles of driving the sound became much louder and VERY noticeable when even on rough roads I discovered when removing the âfrunkâ trim to investigate a weak battery up front that an aluminum upper suspension right front shock mount was only being retained by a single bolt of the FOUR designed to secure it! Two had sheared the aluminum mount off and one bolt had broken off and was missing! The car has been in possession of the dealer since I had it towed in 6/27/2025 I have had NO RESPONSE from the dealer as to the cause.other than to indicate that it had been a rental car company acquisition No other external body/suspension/tire/fender damage was visible The dealer has confirmed the failure and has to my knowledge not repaired it although they did indicate that GM engineers were advised?

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

On 10/13 after refuling my 2023 Chevy Corvette. I was cruising on a freeway when the car started showing signs of staying in 5th gear. The rev limiter was going from 500 to 2500 rpm rhythmically at a cruising speed of 65mph. At this time, I noticed the loss of response from the gas pedal. The car was then placed in manual shifting mode so that i can attempt to regain population control and maintain the flow of traffic as this was a high crash area. Unfortunately, this attempt did not work and the dash cluster illuminated with the following alerts "rear axil system offline" "idle creep disabled," "service transmission" at this time. The gear indicator on the dash that shows the mode and gear, for example: D3 (drive 3rd gear), completely disappeared and the gas pedal completely went unresponsive. At this point i used the momentum of the car in motion to exit off of the freeway into a parking center. The vehicle proceeded to not respond in regards to going into park, reverse, or drive. The only thing that worked was the electronic parking brake. This was a very scary situation that, without my federal law enforcement driving training I may not have coasted safely out of traffic.
